Meet the Mascots of LEO Sky Farm: Cappuccino & Toffee

Cappuccino and Toffee, our two beloved miniature donkeys, arrived at LEO Sky Farm in November 2024 as seven-month-old foals. They made the long journey from The Donkey Dairy in Magaliesburg, Gauteng — a three-day trip by truck to their new home in the heart of the Cape Winelands.

When they first arrived, they were shy and unsure of humans. But with time, patience, and plenty of love and attention, they’ve become an inseparable part of our farm family. Today, they play joyfully with our four dogs and even our Persian cat.

Cappuccino is the confident leader — independent and full of personality. Toffee is the gentle sweetheart, slightly shy but deeply affectionate. They love ear scratches, rolling in the dust, and soaking up the sunshine.

Their feeding routine includes two meals a day — at 7:30 am and again at 5 pm — along with grazing freely around our lawns. They’re especially fond of carrots and occasionally enjoy some sugar water. If dinner is ever late, Toffee’s loud bray is a clear reminder!

Miniature donkeys typically sleep standing, but when they feel completely safe, they lie flat on the ground. These two nap like little babies in the grass, a sign of how content and loved they truly are.

Cappuccino and Toffee have captured our hearts, and today they are the cherished little mascots of LEO Sky Farm — bringing joy, charm, and character to our days here.
